Welcome to T-Plan Release 7.4
T-Plan Release 7.4 builds upon the new functionality introduced in T-Plan Release 7.0. It also includes all the fixes and enhancements contained within all of the point and service releases from T-Plan Version 7.0.

The following is a list of new features added to this release. For further details about any feature, please refer to support@t-plan.com.
Execution Window integration with Incident Manager
New for this release is the integration of incident management functionality into the available features of the Execution Window.
Features include:
- Raise incident against selected entity within the execution window
- Modify an incident directly from the execution window
- View a list of incidents that are assigned to your logon user, or linked to an item that you are currently working on
- Email incident capability via our new (for this release) smtp extension
- Supports the new attribute cascade functionality introduced in the 7.1 release
- Supports the new screen shot tool functionality introduced in the 7.1 release
- Supports for design mode customisation
Note: All incidents are of course viewable by T-Plan Incident Manager, and are viewable as external references in T-Plan Professional when linked or raised against an entity.
SMTP Email Extension
New for this release is a new SMTP email extension. Emailing of attachments will also be supported for this release.
Note: The CDO email extension will still be available.
IS Active Extension
Included in this release is the IS Active html library. This gives information relating to ISTQB for certain sections of T-Plan Professional.
Included as part of the IS Active extension is a simple BVA (Boundary Value Analysis) wizard, in the Design module.
Extension Installation
All Incident Manager & T-Plan Professional extensions that are shipped with this release are now pre-installed as part of the main setup.
This change means that custom functionality provided by the extensions can be activated and deactivated, via the administration menu, without the need to install extra packages.

Upgrading T-Plan Professional / T-Plan Incident Manager
If you are upgrading from an earlier release of T-Plan, it is recommended that you first uninstall T-Plan before installing this release.
Please navigate to the Installation Guide for all the information you will need.
E.g. System Requirements, License Installation, Evaluation Overview, and Installation Architecture options etc.
After installation, you should check the version by selecting the About option from the top level menu. The indicated build number should be set to 4663.
After upgrading, you will be required to migrate your project databases. This can be done from within T-Plan Administrator. Your users will not be able to log into any of your databases until they have been migrated.
Please note that the migration process is not reversible. It is strongly recommended that you take backup copies of you databases before migrating.

Applying to T-Plan Suite
PRB-2374 Desktop T-Plan shortcuts are no longer supported.
Applying to T-Plan Professional
PRB-2388 When adding screenshots in Script Instructions it is recommend to use .jpeg files rather than .bmp file formats.
PRB-2409 Use of apostrophes in Attribute Names or values causes Filter Query's to fail.
Applying to T-Plan Incident Manager
PRB-2441 When Microsoft Word is set as Notes Editor, the MS Word Ribbon remains at the top of the screen even when you are not in the Notes view of an entity.
Applying to DOORS Integration
PRB-2373 When using DOORS right click menu (locate, update etc), if there is no DOORS window currently activated on the desktop another instance of DOORS will open.
